BEGINNER CURSILLOS FOR ADULTS AND TEENS 17+
4 week sessions cover the basics of flamenco movement, dance technique & music
$40/session
Tuesdays at 6-7 PM
Session I -- May 4 - 25
Session II -- June 15 - July 6
Session III -- July 13 - Aug. 3

Following a beginner cursillo, students may join the ongoing Tuesday night class or another class.

CASTANET CURSILLO
4-week session covers castanet rhythms & choreography for castanets with sevillanas.
$50/cursillo
Thursdays at 6-7 PM 
May 27 - June 24
**No class on June 10**
Students bring their own castanets

INTERMEDIATE TECHNIQUE & CHOREOGRAPHY
$60/month
Choreography meets Tuesdays at 7-8 PM
Technique meets Thursdays 7-8 PM
Bringing new material from ABQ festival this summer
**No class June 6-12**

SUMMER KIDS CURSILLOS
5-week sessions introduce children to flamenco dance & music.
$50/cursillo 
Ages 3-5 meet June 17 - July 15 at 5-6 PM
Ages 6-12 meet July 1-29 at 6-7 PM

Following a kids cursillo, children may join ongoing Thursday classes in September.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE WORKSHOP 
Week-long workshop focuses on a new dance form each day, such as flamenco, Kuchipudi, Chinese dance, African dance, Irish dance.

$150/workshop
Adults meet 9:30-11:30 AM
Kids age 8-12 meet 12:30-2:30 PM

DETAILS / GUAJIRAS & TANGOS
Tuition: 
$200 Guitarists
$150 Dancers
$50 Singers

Guajiras -- 
Dancers learn choreography for guajiras with fan.  Students must bring their own flamenco fans.  Small plastic fans will not be accepted.  Dance technique also taught.

Guitarists learn falsetas, technique, theory and guajras basics. Jean Pierre Verbist meets with guitarists at 8-9 PM every other week.  Other weeks, guitarists spend full class time with dancers & singers.

Singers learn letras by self study and in class get song structure and improvisation knowledge.

Tangos (por fiesta) -- 
Dancers learn choreography for llamadas, marcaje; also, song structure and improvisation covered in class.

Guitarists learn tangos structure, compas, llamadas, falsetas, and get improvisation experience.  Jean Pierre Verbist meets with guitarists at 8-9 PM every other week.  Other weeks, guitarists spend full class time with dancers & singers.

Singers learn letras, structure, compas, and get improvisation experience.
